RETURN/REPLACEMENT & REFUND POLICY

Definition: “Replacement/Return or Refund” is defined as the action of giving back the item purchased by the buyer to the seller on sqreft.com.

Any refund or credit will only take place once seller has received and processed the return of the products.

Following situations may arise to warrant replacement/return:

  • Item is found to be defective
  • Item is damaged during the shipping
  • Product/s is/are missing
  • Wrong item was sent by the Seller

Buyer must review the listing of the product before making the purchase decision.  In case Buyer orders a wrong item, Buyer shall not be entitled to any return/refund.

Buyer needs to raise the return request within the return period applicable to the respective product.  Once buyer has raised a return request to seller, while closing the return ticket, seller can select one of the following.

  • Replace item after shipment collection – In this case seller has agreed to wait for the logistics team to collect the shipment from the buyer before replacing it.
  • Refund after shipment collection – In this case seller has agreed to wait for the logistics team to collect the shipment from the buyer before refunding.
  • Refund without shipment collection – Seller has agreed to refund the buyer without expecting the original shipment back.
  • Replace without shipment collection – Seller has agreed to replace the order without expecting the original shipment back.

In the event of the Seller accepting the return request raised by the Buyer, Buyer will have to return the product as relevant above and then the refund shall be credited to the Buyers account as per the seller agreement.
Further for the returns being made by the Buyer to the Seller of the product, the following parameters needs to be ensured by the Buyer:

  • Products under design and planning category can be retuned, subject to conditions. Products should be “New” and returned with original packaging – Returns are accepted for wrong or damaged products only and should be intimated within 48 hours of delivery.
  • Products under building and construction category, return is available for smaller items and products. Other products/consignments return terms has to be checked specifically for applicability of return/refund. Replacement will be possible for any item supplied by mistake. Condition should be “New” and returned with original packaging – Returns accepted for wrong or damaged product only, and should be intimated within 48 hours of delivery.
  • Products under interior decoration category: Should be “New” and returned with original packaging, Returns accepted only for wrong or damaged products intimated within 48 hours of delivery.
  • Customized items will not be eligible for return or refund. Replacement will be provided for wrong or damaged delivery intimated within 48 hrs.
  • Products under landscape and garden: can only be returned for smaller items. For other products/consignments return terms has to be checked specifically for applicability of return/refund. Replacement will be possible for any item supplied by mistake. Condition should be “New” and returned with original packaging – Returns accepted for wrong or damaged product only, and should be intimated within 48 hours of delivery.
  • Products under Cleaning and maintenance: can only be returned for smaller items. For other products/consignments return terms has to be checked specifically for applicability of return/refund. Replacement will be possible for any item supplied by mistake. Condition should be “New” and returned with original packaging – Returns accepted for wrong or damaged product only, and should be intimated within 48 hours of delivery.

       General category products

  • Products under Electrical & Electronics: Should be “New” and returned with original packaging. Returns accepted only for wrong or damaged products and  intimated within 48 hours of delivery.
  • Plumbing & Electricals : Should be “New” and returned with original packaging. Returns accepted only for wrong or damaged products intimated within 48 hours of delivery.
  • Cabinetry, Timber, Plywood and other boards, Returns accepted for wrong or damaged products intimated within 48 hours of delivery.
  • Tools, Equipments, consumables and hardware Should be “New” and returned with original packaging. Returns accepted only for wrong or damaged products intimated within 48 hours of delivery.
  • Furniture & Furnishing : Return accepted only for wrong or damage products intimated within 48 hours of delivery.
  • Original Art Craft & Paintings :. No return or refund Replacement  applicable for wrong or damage products intimated within 48 hours delivery.

If the products being returned are not in accordance with the above parameters, then Buyer shall not be entitled to any refund of money from the Seller.
Shipping cost for returning the product shall be borne and incurred by the Seller.

Replacement

Definition: Replacement is the action or process of replacing something in place of another.  A buyer can request for replacement whenever buyer is not happy with item, reason being wrong item delivered, *damaged in shipping, defective Item, Item(s) missing.

*Before taking delivery, customer should inspect the packing and should not take delivery if any damage is seen.
Disputes (Resolutions) Policy

Intimation shall be provided to Seller seeking either “approval” or “rejection” of the Dispute/replacement request.
Any damage or loss to the product after delivery will not be covered under this program and will completely be the Buyer’s responsibility.  Buyers should refuse to accept delivery if the item is damaged.
Blacklisted and blocked Buyers are cannot avail this facility.

Cancellation Policy.

Orders may be cancelled within 12 hours of placing the order. In such case the refund will be processed immediately to the buyer & all bank charges will be borne by the buyer. In the event the order is cancelled by the seller due to some technical issues the refund will be credited to the buyer and all bank charges will be borne by the Seller. Any item rejected & returned as per return policy after delivery shall be refunded to the Buyer after the Seller accept the return & bank charges will be borne by Seller.
